Are you looking for a wedding venue that has an intimate backyard feel? If the answer is YES, then Gather Estate is perfect for you!! Gather Estate is a wedding venue located in Mesa, Arizona and is absolutely stunning! It has a quaint feel but has modern interior. The ceremony area is gorgeous with a large lawn, and a green wall which I love to use for first looks, families, or the wedding party photos!

The Couple

Julie + Ryan met in 2014, at a country club they both worked at! After a few months they hung out outside of work and the rest is history! When I asked Julie what she looked forward to most on the wedding day she said “Finally being husband and wife while having our friends and family witness it.”

I think they are also just the cutest. When I was getting to know them more they basically said the same thing. They both love each others eyes, they both love their little inside jokes they have. It seriously just melts my heart hearing these two talk about their love for one another.

Wedding Day at Gather Estate

Everyone arrived and immediately started getting ready! Some people were setting up florals, the bridesmaids were getting dressed, and I started on the flat lay. The color scheme for their wedding was blue, white, and gold. I loved watching all the details come together and it was gorgeous for their December wedding!

Because The Gather Estate has a retro feel , Julie + Ryan also had some cool vendors to complete the feel! They had Cruisin’ Photo Bus as their photo booth which I love! They also used Travelin’ Tavern AZ which is a cute bar for all the guests to enjoy!

Julie and Ryan wanted to save their first look for when Julie walked down the aisle, which I love! They still wanted to get as many photos of just the two of them after the ceremony. Before the guest started to arrive we were able to knock out a bunch of the wedding party and family done prior to the ceremony. I highly recommend doing this whenever possible and is my favorite way to make sure my couples get more time for couples portraits during cocktail hour while still saving the first look for the ceremony!

For the couples portraits we went to the front of Gather Estate because it has a gorgeous arch and the front of the building is just so cute for photos!

Lastly, it was time to party and their friends knew how to party and dance! Julie and Ryan danced to one of their favorite songs, “24k Magic”. As Julie got ready to for their sparkler exit. She looks at me and says “How is it already over? That went by SO fast.” I think that is so true for everyone’s wedding.
