The Icehouse is a popular wedding venue located in Downtown Phoenix. It is known for the industrial vibe, but my favorite part is definitely the ceremony space. But we will get to more of that later! Luu + Chris are a pandemic romance who had a vision of a modern wedding with some bohemian vibes and the Icehouse could not have been a more perfect spot!

Luu and Chris may have my favorite wedding hashtag yet, I will give you a moment to guess what it is first…3…2…1. It was #LuudaChris! Like come on that is so clever!

Getting Ready

The Icehouse has two getting ready spaces. There is a large one where the girls got ready that is exposed brick walls, and the room is covered in mirrors. My favorite part is the front with the large standing mirrors for when the bride gets into her dress! When Luu got in her modern wedding dress, I fell in love. And then she added the sleeves and it really just took it to another level. I also love sneaking into the back room for some moody getting ready photos in front of a window. I had Luu put on her jewelry back there and guys, isn’t she just the most beautiful bride! The guys get ready in a secondary area that also can serve the cocktail hour. This room is lots of white brick and there is a downstairs “man cave” (at least that is what I call it!)

The Ceremony

The aisle was lined with white petals and candles, and they opted for a circle arch with beautiful flowers by Red Mountain Florist. Luu and Chris chose to have a later start time for their ceremony, so the candles and bistro lights lit up the ceremony space. Their dogs Coconut and Arlo also got to walk down the aisle and needless to say I am obsessed with them. I always love when dogs can be incorporated during the wedding (and wait until you see the cake topper).

After the kiss, they walked down the aisle and their guests threw flower petals! I love fun exits down the aisle like these, and it makes for some super fun photos!

Luu and Chris wanted lots of candid’s from their day and they made that so easy! They had so much fun and really just enjoyed their wedding day to the fullest.
